Can anyone help me with these three algebra problems? It involves simple interest, regular interest, sales tax rate, and total cost. I was wondering if anyone could help me with this three algebra problems, I am trying difficult to understand math but am still struggling with assignments. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I will post the three problems below and I was wondering if you could explain/ show me how you got the answer so I could study the problem furtherr , so that I can understand this stuff becuase I will be quizzed on it. Open Question: Can I take back a boat my ex-boyfriend has in his possession that is in my name?

My ex-boyfriend and I got a boat while we were still together, but I paid for 100% of it. I have since moved out of the home we shared together, but now I want the boat that I paid for, and he is not willingly giving it to me, claiming that it was "a gift." However, on the title that he has, it has both of our names stating: His name "OR" My name (If it really was just a gift for him, why is MY name on the title too then!?). I have since gone to the DMV and gotten a new title that has ONLY my name on it, and the title that he has is now null and void. However, when I tried to go over there with the police and take the boat back, the police said that the DMV is not law, and that even though the new title says I am the sole owner of the boat, I can't just take it. Does anyone know the proper steps to take to receive the boat I paid for back?

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and made frozen pizza for dinner tonight. I'm home alone with my 13 month old, so I had half the pizza myself while she ate her healthy little dinner, then decided I was still hungry and ate the other half! My husband and I are glad healthy and financially secure. My in laws are not. They have been affected by the recession and live more like they are just starting out. They have told me they are miserable. So I feel guilty when we buy a car or a boat or take a trip. I am visiting them over the summer how do I stay classy without sounding like I am rubbing it in that we are able to like our financial rewards. Open Question: If you had been an atheist and then became a Christian, how would you describe your new-found faith?

You often read testimonies from people who say they used to be atheists but have now seen the light and become Christians. If I ever had a conversion experience like that, I would feel the need to reassure others that I realize how insane it every sounds--talking donkeys, giants, unicorns, millions of animals in a boat for forty days. And then I'd go on to explain why and how it now made sense to me. But that's not what I look. Formerly atheist Christians seem to embrace the whole thing as if it had made sense every along. What's up with that? Surely, if they wanted us to believe they were once like us, they would want to emphasize how unbelievable it had every seemed before their conversion. Why don't they ever say anything about that? Kevin H, if you have evidence to the contrary lay it on me; I'd adore to look it because I just never have. Perhaps there's an entire genre of conversion stories that emphasize the strangeness of Biblical literalism and I've just missed it. Open Question: 22-year old college graduate who moved back home with parents, and not getting along with mother-suggestions?

I graduated May 2009, and I moved back in with my parents in October. I was living in my college town just working jobs in retail since I hadn't found any luck landing jobs in my field. I decided to move home and have been holding 2 jobs in retail ever since. While I was away at school I thought it would be nice to move back home for a while. However I now realize when I was homesick away at school, I was homesick of how things used to be, not how they are now. There's really not a reason for me to be here anymore, my sister is in high school and everything is every about her, I don't have a lot of friends around anymore, and I feel like I'm just twiddling my thumbs. So I've been doing everything I can to better myself, I've been working 2 retail jobs to keep up some money, I've been accepted into 3 graduate programs that would start in the fall, and I'm going to a job fair in 2-weeks to look for a summer internship. I'm going quite crazy with my mom because she stays at home every day long, hasn't had in job in years, and never went to college. Whenever I talk about going to graduate school she goes on and on how it's stupid and a waste of time, and how once I'm done I'm going to be in the same boat I am in now. She tells me how I'm self-centered and every I want to talk about is me, me, me. Yet, whenever we have a conversation it she's bragging about my sister to me. She also tells me how it's stupid to go to the job fair because I don't even know how much the jobs pay yet, but that's part of the reason why you go, to figure things out. She is very critical of my ambitions, and she is so ignorant of everything because she has never left my tiny hometown. If i were to tell her that though, she would receive so defensive. Lori Lei Bodden, 41, her husband, Carlos Cardona-Herrera, 36, and Juan Hernandez-Telle, 22, were charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. Bodden is expected to be charged with distribution of methamphetamine. Three-fourths of a pound of methamphetamine in its purest form, ice, was found hidden in a baby wipes container. The drugs have a road value of about $40,000. Three kids below the age of 4 were in the mobile home when agents raided it Thursday night and the Etowah County Department of Human Resources was called. The drugs, along with guns, swords, cash, vehicles, a boat and several computers, were seized during the raid. Those computers are expected to provide more information about the tax scheme, Entrekin said. It is believed Bodden was filing income tax returns from her mobile home, primarily tax returns for illegal immigrants, and claiming the first-time home buyers tax credit of $8,000. If someone is using a Social Security number and paid taxes through an employer, income tax returns can be filed. “This was a very organized and elaborate tax fraud scheme,” Entrekin said. Records to confirm about $200,000 in tax refunds were discovered. It is suspected that many more tax returns have been filed electronically and that information can be obtained through a forensic investigation of the computers. It appears Bodden was profiting by filing the returns and charging 25 percent of the tax refund. The refunds were deposited into a bank account over which she had control. Agents found one instance in which a person’s refund was about $12,000 and she made $2,700. District Attorney Jimmie Harp gave an example of one tax return in which a person believed to be in the U.S. illegally made $6,000 last year and got a $13,000 refund using the tax credit. Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit Commander Rob Savage said investigators have not found any homes listed as purchased on the returns that even exist. “One was the address of a vacant lot,” he said. I recently turned 40, have been through a lot with relationships and am where I know I want to be with a man. I would like to be married again, have a man that knows what it is to treat how he is treated. I found one. Or so I thought. I was happier than I've ever been (I've had only long term relationships ranging from the least at 2 years, top of 8 with marriage). From the beginning there were the usual cover-ups (which I find that most do, but I don't tolerate - Yes, I am always honest about my past & gift.. avoids issues). First, we agreed not to look other people-his idea and I was smitten so agreed. He said he had to go to church one day. After I talked to him a little more since he was vague, discovered that he was supposed to go with the girl he just broke up with (to date me). He got a free card on that one after a "chat" about what to expect dating me. Then, he had a pal that came into town and I asked him if they had ever been together, he said no. They went downtown to a Cubs game and sightseeing and he took her to the airport. Granted, he came over after the game and was at my home before he took her to the airport. No, I never met her. We went away for the weekend, had a few drinks, he got a text telling him she was moving back and I asked why she wanted his help to move, conversation got longer. Apparently drank too much because said something about sleeping with her a long time ago. I asked him why he lied and he said he didn't realize I was that chilly about past relationships and felt like he needed to in order to avoid an argument. Another "chat". Yes, I'm chilly headed. I didn't feel I had a reason to be jealous by the way he treated me, spent every second with me that he wasn't working, text me every day, etc. Everyone who knew him said he was a totally different person and I am the best thing that ever happened to him. NOW, here's where the complications start. He has bartended since I met him. 19 years part time now. No steady full time job that was over 3 years it seems (last full time he got let go from was a year ago for real estate appraisals and his best pal was who employed him. Worked when he wanted. He owns and rents a townhome property as well. His brother lived with him and gave him 700/month in rent. He always had money to spend when we went out and $500 for his boat to "fix"... Then for 2 months over the summer my contract went from 40 hours to 20 hours. We spent a lot of time together with the kids and alone - usually four days/nights a week, if not more. He bartended Wed/Fri/Sat and made about $1k/wk. What I didn't know? CC bills and back taxes owed... also that the renter wasn't making her payments on time and he didn't have the money to front for mortgage or association so the assn sued him and thats how I found out TWO DAYS before we moved in together that he NEEDED a full time job the entire time we were dating and just didn't receive one because he liked spending time with me. ??? HUH? OK, well, I guess his frivolous spending wasn't going toward his cell, trash or cable... they were every intermittently turned off with "I keep forgetting to pay the stuff on time, I should pay online so my credit doesn't go bad". trash cans were taken... still gone ... new renter doesn't need them. So, I said he had to receive a full time job or kick his renter out. Easier said than done... he got another bartending job by me before he rented his home (second property - both now breaking even)... however, two and a half months later, not even a Home Depot job. He tries, has arrive close, but owes me about $1k from our agreed on rent. My problem here is that had he told me he couldn't help out, I would've told him to stay put til he figured it out. I'm a single mom of two boys, work as a consultant from home and JUST started to receive ahead and have over $5k in the bank in October. THEN, I started my possess company based off of a referral from what I've done for 6 years. I had ONE shot, hired three people - he was one of them because he ASKED and said he could do a great job - it was money. $800 a month working TEN hours a week. Yes, it was on the phone setting appointments. SO WHAT? You receive no rude people, just people they are already approved. He was given the "company memo" because I could tell he wasn't doing his job... I was sitting right next to him. He knew my reputation was on the line, knew he wasn't doing what he was asked, got himself fired with the HEAD internal wholesaler, who convinced the others to move to where he went. He lost my two best friends their jobs and they quit other jobs to work from home. I have been doing this six years and YES, you DO have to call everyday if they ask, etc. Yes, I talked to him before it got bad, I sent an email to every making it look like new policies were in place, just to receive him to make the required calls. We're looking to buy a PWC on a budget. Found a '97 Polaris SLTX that comes with trailer, cover, has low hours, and is in fantastic shape. Hi was wandering if anyone knows what my dream could mean. I had it last night and it was one of those dreams you remember for ages, im sure it's got some meaning. It started on top of a really high exposed steep dangerous mountain peak. There was me and a few other people, I'm not sure why we were there but my sister was also there and we were every trying to receive down the other side of the mountain but there was some problem and we couldnt. There was a bridge that we needed to cross but it was breaking and we could not receive across safely - we were trying to climb below it(?!) and my sis nearly got crushed, Some of us decided to call a helicopter but we realised it would not b able to land safely and we'd have to find a flat place. Myself and an american christian couple and one muslim girl found some nice of boat/plane seats (i dunno lol) to receive down the mountain. The american girl sat next to the muslim, american girls boyfriend sat the row behind her and the american girl turned to him and said 'I can't wait for our christian wedding'( think she ws tryin to piss muslim of),the girls boyfriend ignored her and moved further away! ? we moved down the mountain , we went through a beautiful frozen jungle and we were sliding over the ice which was a lovely bright blue and there was a weird monkey dressed in a suit eating some nice of tropical fruit LOL, the ice seemed to be on top of the jungle (we were over the tree tops). we then found dry land which was not v nice, was loads of dirt and sticks to run through and i had no shoes on and remember being scared of being bitten by somethin? does anyone know what any of this can mean ? cheers

Open Question: Switching from rear facing to forward facing seat dilemma,help?

My daughter's almost 17 months old. Well, she's now too tall for her baby seat but she doesn't weigh 20 pounds yet(16 pounds,doctor says she's fine,she's just skinny & tall,33 inches). Then my pal(who also has a baby) told me that it's recommended that babies stay rear facing until age 2 so she's in the same boat as me but her son's closer to 2 and at the max limit for his rear facing seat. I don't like the way she rides now,I'm not comfortable with it. When I asked my Mom about what I should do she said just to switch her over to the forward facing seat since she'll eventually grow into it. Open Question: Rachel Perry skin care products?

Rachel Perry skin care has sadly gone bankrupt and it seems to be the only products my skin likes. Specifically the Tangerine Dream facial cleanser. I have done extensive searches online and every store that seems to have it, doesnt actually have any instock. I have even gone every the way through the order process, and received confirmations, and then my card never gets charged and the product never sent. Anyways, I am wondering if anyone knows of anywhere I can still find this product. OR if there is anyone else in my same boat who has found a replacement that they could suggest. Open Question: How to get her to open up to taking things further?

I'm a 20 year old college student with little dating experience, and recently (a month ago) began dating a very sweet 18 year old girl who has made it clear that she's not looking for just hookups. I have a strong emotional connection with this girl and really care about her. The furthest I've gone with any girl is making out and feel like I don't have enough experience to have sex with anyone at this point, but I need to gain experience with the smaller bases for now so I can eventually receive to that point in the future. Open Question: Need some advise, should I take the job or keep hunting?.?

I just had an interview today for a tiny deli. I think I might be offered the position. The only thing is it's not full time. The hours would be from 7 am to 2 pm, 3 to 4 days a week. I was told it could be 5 days for the right person. The pay isn't bad. It's not the best, but not bad. It's a couple dollars more than minimum wage. The only thing is no benefits. Currently, I am working for a catering company making a few dollars more, but still no benefits and not enough hours to receive by. I have been searching for work for close to 3 months in hopes of finding something with benefits or even full time. It's rough out there, and I'm not being picky. I know that when I tell my husband about this position, he will turn his nose up and say, "you don't want to receive in the same boat that you are trying to receive out of." But I'm getting desperate. We are living with family and it's getting unbearable. What would any of you guys do? Please no work at home advise. I want some advise from the heart. ***Forgot to mention that if I do take this deli position, I can still work part time at the catering service with the same amount of hours****

When I first met my boyfriend we were totally perfect for each other. Everything ran so smooth and we were so in adore. We started planning a wedding and talked about wanting kids. He was so attentive etc. We stopped using condoms and I went to the doc to receive on birth control, before I could start it I got pregnant! Everything feels so different. He's not attentive, he hardly acts excited to look me, he says he's stressed out trying to work and finish school but he was in the same boat before.
