Open Question: does this story sound interesting?

I'm writing a zombie story called Undead Encounters here's the plot of the story and what i have so far. The rise of a zombie attack only happening in America. Doctors have been putting viruses in shots (without knowing) that cause severe damage to the brain and kills that person within two weeks of injection. That said person then comes back alive with a severe hunger for human flesh. Story revolves around 6 teenagers, a teacher, and a police officer who are trying to receive on a boat to safety. They live up north in South Carolina and have to receive to the seaport (Naval Weapons Station Charleston) Their main goal is to receive aboard the boat to an island where they then can travel to another country. Trinity Knight: senior high school student. Trish Knight: senior high school student(told in her point of view) Spencer Johnson: senior high school student Chandler Smith: senior high school student Nathaniel Greer: Senior high school student Victor Wilson: the History teacher Rebecka Thompson: the police officer Donald Porter: the military kid Story starts out at a high school. (South Bend High School) a group of friends are staying after school shooting a video. Later they start to hear police sirens, screams, and worst of every, some of the after school students and teachers are acting odd. The faces of their peers and teachers has turned a sickly pale color and are walking overly slow! People inside and out of the school are running around and screaming their heads off, and the only thing running through this group of friends minds is Zombies! more about the characters. Characters (main) Trish Knight: main character of the story. Told in her eyes. difficult working Senior student. Very cautious and a what if person. She’s the brains of the group. She’s the advice giver. The shortest one of the group. Has Dark brown hair. Trinity Knight: Trish’s older sister. She was held back so she could graduate with her sister. She’s the one that will shoot first and ask questions later. Fights with emotion and Has a very smart mouth. Always tries to be the leader since she is older then every one else. Very tall and slender. Black hair. Has a “I will win” attitude. Spencer Johnson: The trouble maker. Always tardy for class and ends up in detention most of the time. Likes to start a battle. Never one to hesitate. Spiky dirty blond hair. Caucasian Chandler Smith: The Football player. Laid back nice of guy. look things for what they are accepts them. Ready to take on what lies ahead of the game. (him and Trish have a tiny thing for each other, as the story goes on their relationship to one another progresses) African American. Nathaniel Greer: the attention grabber. Wants everyone to know him for some great. Tries to be the hero and takes risks. (gets himself killed by trying to be the hero) African American. Victor Wilson: The serious thinker. Well organized and difficult working. Very concerned for others. Not one to persuade easily. Has a medium tan complexion. Dark hair Rebecka Thompson: The warm-hearted red head. Has a strong sense of duty and responsibility. Also is a little out spoken. Some time leads with emotion. Caucasian Donald Porter: the young bleach blond haired military kid. Only interested in saving him self. Arrogant and self centered. Wants everything to go his way and to be in control. Caucasian

Open Question: Please help! What would you do if you were in my situation? Would you still be with him?

So my bf and I have only been dating a month. We are both 24 but meeting him was adore at first sight. I am in adore with him and I know thats really difficult to believe after knowing someone for that short of time. But whenever Im with him it feels its just me and him. Ever since being with him we have gone on some of the best dates. I lost my virginity to him because he is the only guy that I have seen a future with. The only problem is he is in the navy and I look him about twice a week and talk to him every other day because he has duty three times a week where he has to stay on the boat and I dont have any contact with him. He is leaving on orders to go to the east coast the beginning of October so we will be together a little over three months. I dont know if thats going to be good to keep a long distance relationship i told him every month im going to fly out there and look him but after december he is getting deployed for five months. He was in a 5 year relationship about a year ago and was engaged to the girl but she lived on the east coast and he was in hawaii and they broke up because she would hardly go look them. But now that he is going to the east coast they live five hours from each other and im afraid there going to receive back together but he doesnt even talk to her anymore its just a thought that goes through my head what would u do if you were me??BTW im on the west coast...

Open Question: What the heck happened in Charlie St. Cloud?

*WARNING SPOILERS* I just saw the movie today and was wondering if anyone knows anything on this particular movie. I am thoroughly confused. I understood everything up until he saw her walking around her fathers grave with a clip on her head. He found out that she was missing and saved her. They have dinner and she finds out that his brother is able to talk to him and charlie tells her to leave because the more hes with her the less he can be with his brother. And then BAM the next day they are at the boat and it seems like nothing ever happened. And then Charlie repeats the poem AGAIN and shes every 'How did you know that?' even though that already happened the night before. And then every of a sudden because he was tardy one time he can no longer look his brother. Does Tess have brain damage from her boating accident? Or is Tess herself dead? And what happened to Sam? How arrive he just disapeared like that? Any thoughts?

Ive been on home arrest for almost 2 months of the 6 I was sentenced too and I am going insane. I know many of you are in the same boat as we discussed in the chat room, but this is crap. I haventbeen able to go looting with my friends for like 4 weekends now and it kills me to hear about every the chilly stuff they are getting (you know summer is thebest for looting). I wish I would have just picked the 45 days in the county jail, but its too tardy now. Open Question: Is sailing that hard?

Im only 14. Now every i wanted to do is simply build a plywood sailing boat about 4x8 to sail around a tiny nearby lake. i laid out my plan to my parents how i would do this, and i got the answer that it was a nightmare... and i need to take classes before starting because i don't know how to sail,and i need to build a scale model (i think this is there method of trying to sail me out of the idea.) My argument is that it cant be that difficult. the sited i saw these plans on pretty much described it as "trial by flame" and what not.. the type in question is the PDRacer, advertised as the easiest boat to build. Who is right?

Open Question: Can anyone tell me about an odd fish I spotted in the Casco Bay (Near Jewell Island)?

The fish looked to be about 3-4ft long, shaped similarly to the front half of a shark, but with a rounded off nose. Its thickness was greater than what looked like would be normal for most fish in comparison to its length. It kept one fin over the water while it was swimming around, and it was a gray color every over. It swam within a foot of our boat, which leads me to believe it was a predatory fish of some sort. If you know anything about this fish (and could include pictures so I can verify that it is what I saw) I would appreciate it. We have a family lake home and we spend every weekend there in the summer. It's great to arrive together as a family, play in the lake every day, boat, have BBQs and bonfires. We are so blessed to have such a great place for our family to arrive together. One thing ruins our weekends though, my brother's wife. She is always MOODY. Our cabin gets a little cramped and with little ones the home seems to wake up early, well she goes on rampages saying how she can't snooze, and it's too noisy. I don't want tension between our families but do I say something? It really starts to ruin our weekends when she is always on edge about everything! Should I tell her to relax or no?

Open Question: What music video am I talking about?

So I forgot the title of the tune and the name of the band... The video goes like this. The entire band is in a tiny boat floating adrift in the ocean. The set-up looks fake. I think the band members go hungry and start eating each other and this is shown by the other members jumping on the other member. And the following scene is that they lack a member. This continues until the last guy jumps into the ocean... I'm not sure though about that last part or I think there boat sinks. I really can't remember it. Or Black people period? I know that they used to because I've read books about it. Like they were taught before they came here and opened their stores in the states, that "Black people steal". They put every Black people into the same boat with that. And they were also taught to watch Black customers tough, while not the White customers, whom I guess they assumed wouldn't steal anything from them. Another stereotype and myth based on race . Considering there are over 4 million (only .1% of every the different species of animals that have ever existed) and probably more than that that we know of and probably more back then I doubt he could hold even half those animals on a boat 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet deep. I was listening to CMT this morning and I missed most of the tune but I Loved it! It was a country guy singing Day-o a lot. Not the actual banana boat tune with day-o. Open Question: acquiring a cheap/free boat?

okay, I'm trying to receive an adequate sized boat for cheap/free. i already know it can be done, it just isn't that easy. i'm looking for something big enough to snooze on/live in for a short while, doesn't need to do trips, just be good enough for a couple days out on the ocean. i plan on cruising and doing some fishing from it, i prefer stand up, so it won't need a seat. i mainly plan to fish stuff like tuna, shark, and big humboldt. i plan on using both regular fishing gear, as well as carrying a harpoon. i know about woodenboatrescue.org, but their servers are down, and no sign of when they will be back up. i also know that marinas occasionally have boats they have taken for some reason, and that they want to be rid of them. but also, they only have those boats if you always pay rent on time and are not a problem there-then those boats start appearing. i do not currently possess a boat, so that option is out. so, the questions are: is there another way to source a free boat? would there be anyone who has a boat at a marina, and is the nice of person who boats appear for, who just might be able to receive one? i mean free as in needs work to abandoned at marina and unwanted. can be like the boats on woodenboatrescue.org (use webarchive to look listings, their server isn't up currently), or acquired like this boat: http://www.instructables.com/id/Free-Yacht-Chapter-7%3a-receive-an-Even-Better-One-and-F/ i plan on restoring/repairing it, so i don't mind condition-the only thing i'm looking for is that i don't need to have the boat raised-nothing sunk. does anyone have any way to help me acquire a boat like that? thanks.

Open Question: i have two 3.5 hp outboard boat motors and i got a 12 ft jon boat and i don't know how to hook them up safely?

Open Question: Am I being unreasonable here?

I graduated with a degree in Journalism this past June and I work at a call middle. I hate the job that I have now. It's frustrating, unstable, pays minimum wage, every the work I do is wrong...etc. it's not where I want to be five years from now. My biggest fear is getting stuck in this dead-end job because it's a job. Well I don't want a job. I want a career and I feel like that's the whole point in going to college, to eventually obtain a career doing something that you like. I'm so sick of people, not coworkers, but family and friends putting me down because I feel like I can do better. I feel like I didn't go to college to work in a call middle. No I didn't expect my dream job to be waiting for me when I graduated, but i don't understand how people can put me down or say that I feel like I'm too good for the job or arrogant when I'm applying for jobs within my field. When I do receive an offer I will gladly leave my crappy job that I have now. I can't feel like I wasted four years of my life. I don't need a degree for the job that I have now. What is so wrong with wanting a job in the Journalism field? I have outstanding student loans to pay. I just don't receive it. I would like to know others' take on this. Anyone in the same boat as me? Thank you.

Open Question: Saw something strange tonight?

My Dad and me were out on the lake this evening and night. At about 10:05 we seen a big red/orange light in the sky. It looked as if it wasn't too far over the trees in this wooded area. Then, it got higher and higher until it disappeared. It got directly over our boat at one time. We turned the boat off to look if we could hear anything, but it was silent. At about 10:30, we seen another of whatever it was. They both started out bright, then faded away until they couldn't be seen. They each lasted about 10 minutes. I've never seen anything like it. Has anybody ever seen anything similar?

Open Question: Rate question for calculus?

A boat is pulled into a dock by a rope attached to the bow of the boat and passing through a pulley on the dock that is 1 m higher than the bow of the boat. If the rope is pulled in at a rate of 1.5 m/s, how quick is the boat approaching the dock when it is 9 m from the dock?

Open Question: GTA III 'Last Requests' help!?

I was playing GTA III and i got to Maria in the boat. I tried to go forward and the boat went outta control and killed everyone, so i tried again and receive to Maria, and the boat did the same thing. When i tried a third time, it crashed and i didn't know what to do, so i started it up again and got into the car Salvatore wanted me to go into and it blew up. What do I do?

Open Question: What battery do I need for my BOAT?

This is the information on the boat I possess (yes I possess it). The battery broke and I need to know what nice of battery I need to purchase. It's made in 1999. It's a Rinker 182 B/R. It's 18 feet 5 inches long. The power is inboard (whatever that means). 3.0 L MerCruiser. I don't know if that's every the information you need but I need to know what nice of battery I need for this boat model. Thank you and suggestions and guesses on the type of battery I might need would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Oh yeah. Any places I might be able to purchase them (batteries)?

Open Question: I need help with a friend problem.?

I am going into 10th grade and i hang out with the people in the grade over me. Not the chilly people, the dorky unpopular people, which doesn't bother me because im in the same boat. But i want to hang with some people in my grade because they are the people I have classes with. How do I hang out with people my age without leaving my other friends feeling like they are being ditched. I normally hang wiht the friends that are older than me at lunch but i dont' wanna be a loner anymore and not sit with everyone else. sOCIAL CRISIS!!! LOL

Open Question: Question about trolling motors?

Hi. I'm new to boating. I recently bought a 8ft double skin poly boat and was wondering whether I'll need 55lb thrust trolling motor or 86lb one and my primary motor. Also, I don't want to use gas motors. I have a 18lb thrust motor which was for my inflatable boat, but I doubt it move the poly boat. I also found out that a 86lb needed 24v deep cycle battery, but I only have a 12v. Does anyone know where I can buy a reasonbaly cheap one? One more question. The 55lb motor says it needs a 50A battery. What does this mean? every I know is that I have a 40amp deep 12v cycle battery. Will it work? Cheers

Open Question: Should I be mad at my new boyfriend or should i cut him some slack?

I have been dating this guy since April. He has been awesome the whole time. We recently made things official 3 days ago. my boyfriend races these boats and he has a 2-day tournament this weekend. Typically I spend the entire weekend at his home, but since I knew he would be busy with the tournament I told him that its okay if he too busy to hang this weekend. But he's like its okay we can still spend time together if I arrive by his parents home and spend the night, then head out to the tournaments first thing in the morning. I was somewhat shocked he invited me to his parents home. It was tardy so we said we would finish the conversation the next day. The next day comes and he doesn't call. But I send him a goodnight and goodluck text. He doesnt text back til 6am in the morning. So the day goes by and still no call from him about me coming over. I finally call and leave him a message and he doesnt call me back for 4hours. Since April he has not forgotten to call or flaked on me. So when we finally talked he apologized and claims he was really busy on friday and saturday. He invites me to arrive out to the tournament and for dinner and drinks with his friends. I tell him I will be busy(this is a lie). This is the first time I ever declined spending time with him. btw..i am 25 and he is 30 Am I making a big deal or do I have the right to be pissed??
